Unissued Yugo SKS prices going up?

I haven't paid any attention to them since they were $99-$119/ea for the unissued ones.

Stopped at a shop today I haven't been to in a while and there was a sales flier from one of their distributors on the counter. They'd been looking at it when I came in and didn't put it away. Unissued Yugo SKS's were listed on sale for $299, normally $325. That's the wholesale price.

I don't know what wholesaler it was, but there's your head's up if you were thinking about one.

Hell, I may list my lightly used since purchase Yugo if that's the case...

They've been that way since Obungo got elected around here. I wish I didn't sell mine.

Along those lines have you noticed how much M-44 Mosins are going for these days. I was floored to see what people are paying for them on Gunbroker , apparently the importers have run out.

I've seen several new/unissued ones exchange hands in the $350 range.

Damn, didn't know that. Might be time to sell?

I remember when Aztec had them for less than 50 bucks a rifle!

Yep, prices of almost all firearms have gone crazy in the last couple of years. About the only one that did, then came back down were the AR15s because demand skyrocketed when obama-messiah got elected, and then when everyone figured the guy wasn't about to do anything, supplies caught up and exceeded demand, which made them come back to pre-obama-hysteria prices. Most other firearms are still in the "yougoddabekidding" range

I can remember when you could buy a Norinco Paratrooper rifle NIB for 99.00.

Wish I still had the Saiga 7.62x39 that I paid $175 for and sold for the same amount. Also wish I would have bought more SKS rifles when they were $100!

The days of cheap firearms and ammo are over, imo. Today's "high" prices will be the "good old days" in the not-too-distant coming years.

Well if you really want to get sick, I turned down an M16 that the seller (a store front dealer) was asking $250!!!! Of course this was in 1975 way before the 1986 infringement!!!

About three years ago, I paid $300 for a mint, unissued Yugo SKS with the accessory pack. It was top dollar at the time, but worth every penny of it.

At the other end of the spectrum, I bought four Mosin Nagant M-44's. Three were $50 ea and one that needed an ejector was $35. They all cleaned up nice and shot good. Still use one as a trunk gun.
