Haven't seen any cheap anywhere. The new stuff is priced up pretty good.

Keep in mind that one of the brass manufacturers uses a different sized primer on the 7.62X39. I forget which company.

Yeah. Some as high as .51 a casing. You can buy rounds cheaper than that.

I've been on the lookout for some, as well. If I see anything, I'll post the info here. Awhile back, I bought some Golden Tiger from Cope's at .20 per round, to hold me until some brass shows up.

I seem to remember Classic Arms having some brass cased 7.62 awile back, but I think that was Berdan primed. Don't know if that does you any good.

I would also say there is no source of cheap 7.62x39 reloadable brass cases. There is new, but for a nice high price. This has always been the situation for the x39 case. Some have reloaded the boxer primed Russian steel cases and gotten away with it. I won't go there myself.

Imho the ak extractor is way to rough on brass even if you bought a few k new you might get three reloadings out of it before it gets all tore up.... but other types of guns with different extractors like AR's get upwards of 10 reloads before its trashed....
