I just go down to the local army navy surplus store. They usally have them, though not always in the best shape. I also see them for sale all the time at gun shows if you have one comming up.

I get them for like 10 bucks at the gunshows. All of my ammo is in cans now, except whats loaded into mags.

Google ammo cans, you'll come up with dozens of hits. In my area at the shows & shops they generally run around 10-15 bucks these day unless in crappy condition. Though I did score 2 really nice WWII cans at a militaria show last year for $5 each!

I would like to get a couple of Australian ones to replace the one I had stolen a while back. I haven't found any though. There wasn't anything special about it. It was the same as the US 30 cal ones, just painted different.

Well this thread inspired me to get some cans and put most of my ammo into them. So, I check J&G - they have 50 cal cans for $7.95 for 10 or more - good. So I click 15 and go to check out. Shipping is $52. Cancel.

The various boxes and bags will work just fine for now...

I remember getting 10 each .30 cal ammo cans from Aim several years ago. I got a surplus source in Bend, OR, but it's not online. Lots of cans there. The Supply Depot. http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/W...ot_Bend_Oregon

    Can't find anything real cheap.

Not the greatest price, but they are a advertizer on the board. Lucky Gunner has them for 12.50 each. If you get 6 they are 11.00 and for 10 they are 10.00. Don't know about shipping. I have bought from them before and their shipping costs were not unreasonable.
