Well if I get a Tabuk and a VZ58 I'll have the complete Iraqi small arms playset. I should have gotten a Hakim pistol a few years ago when they were cheap, just to round it out even more.

I think they are building Yugo parts kits and putting on look-a-like Iraqi markings.

Price on request...well that does me no good at all. trying to get something better than a Romanian "maybe" rifle and then no price range, OY!! No mention of the barrel to see if it has the chrome lined feature needed( with most of us using whatever can be got wouldn't you want a better barrel?)to ensure longevity I am wary.I hate wire stocks but I will go with that if it means a better rifle.

Bill Clinton I hate you so much right now...

Get a Century made Yugo clone. Once you put on a wooden stock set it will look about the same.

    yugo

I will pass on these. I would rather pay twice or three times as much for a real Yugo. .308 no less.

I hear Zastava set a "turn key" factory up for them...

Still though, if you are going to use Kalashnikovs, it's hard to beat a M-70.

    from recons link.

Capitalizing on the favorable relationship with Yugoslavia, Iraqi technicians secured cooperation with The Zastava Arms Factory in Kragujevac, near Belgrade. By 1980, Iraq purchased tooling and machinery to establish its own factory near Baghdad under license from Zastava with aid from Yugoslavian workers and technicians. The main factory opened east of Bi'r Musammad, Babil, Iraq. The result was the introduction of AK-type rifles of excellent quality in a country not previously known for superior domestically produced weapons. The Iraqi produced AKM copies of the Yugoslavian M70B1 and M70AB2 rifles became known as the 'Tabuk.'

Kind of late to the party on this, but I saw the UF version at our last fun show a couple of weeks ago. Looked to be well made. Price was a little steep for me, $1250.
How do you compromise with someone when their idea of compromise is to give them what THEY want?

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

They are in fact Serbian units.....they are assembled in the former Iraq of Saddam H. as domestic production.
