    Neat idea there.

Never heard of a E clip referred to as a "Jesus Christ clip", ...is that as in "Jesus Christ the damn thing flew across the shop again!"???

I'm not thrilled about the snap ring holding it on the rifle.

That is a weak point. I wonder if it would work with the leaf spring in place.

    +1 on the Gen 1

And it does use the leaf spring- the front snaps in just like a rear sight leaf.

The rear lock has a few limitations though- it needs a solid stock for positive mounting. ACE stocks might work too but I doubt something like a Romy folder would.

Once you get the rear lock situated though it's solid enough for an AK mount and low enough that with a micro dot you can do a 50/200 zero like on a flattop AR.

I had time to watch most of the video now.

Yeah, the unlock/windage thing was an issue on Generation 1 too. I fixed mine by boxing in the rear lock with epoxy:

Here's the side view- the length adjustment screws are in the rear on GEN 1:

Finally, the leaf spring holds the front pegs tightly, no external clip:

The rail is standing straight up with the optic still on in the above image.

That's exactly how it got that moniker.

I'm going to pull the stock off of mine and tap it for a screw up through the bottom, to deal with windage and the tendency of the wood screw to loosen up.
