I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

Joined US Army in 1957, Ft. Ord for Basic Infantry, Ft. Carson for Advanced Infantry and Heavy weapons, etc., and enjoyed an interesting world tour with two trips across two oceans courtesy of Air America in those old DC-3's. Last duty station was with the 559 USArmy Artillery, 69th Ordnance Special Weapons Company keeping the nukes that we, US, didn't admit having in Europe at Site Pluto until years later, safe and secure no matter where they had to go. Shot up, etc., shrapnel and WP burns, Honorably Discharged in 1960 after signing confidentiality agreement which is still in effect today...even though most of the 'stuff' is now public. No shame, no regret and certainly no apologies! To this day I don't have a DD-214 to show, just a VA letter documenting that I had served honorably and was 100% disabled....nuf sed.

Finally got around to using my VA Loan to buy a house in Seattle, WA, and got moved on June 4, 2013, so it's been a busy time.

I do miss hearing from 63DH8...love to tell him about my son, presently stationed in Afghanistan and an Artilleryman on a Paladin...I ask him why he chose that MOS and all he would say about it was that "you let me learn to shoot the small guns...I wanted to shoot the big ones."
