    I drank the blue coolaid

You heard it right folks. I am the proud new owner of a RL550b.
    I have 4 toolheads
    conversions for 45LC, 45acp, 308, 30.06, 243win
    I need the following conversions
    .40s&w, .38/.357, .223/5.56 and I need a 9MM powder funnel.
    Dies I have .38/.357
Dies I need everything but .38/.357

I would like to trade or sell the .243 and 45LC conversions to someone who will use them. I wont use them but sure would like to load the butload of 9mm and .40 cal bullets sitting here in tubs. The 231 and unique are looking for a temporary residency in some of this once fired freshly polished winchester and federal brass till the #500 spp and powders fight space send the rainier bullets flying. Till then I'll just

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802: I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Wow this reloading forum tread is bursting with enthusiastic posts to share in my excitement. Not.... Anyone have one of those tread fail pics? I always forget to save those when I see them so I can use them after I post a new thread that nobody cares about.

Congrats on your purchase!! I've been using a 550B for about two years and love it. Takes awhile to get used to it. There are days that I own it, and days that it owns me. All-in-all, a nice piece of gear. I use Unique for my pistol loads. Good Luck!!

Congrats on the 550B. I take it you got a used unit from somebody that's getting out of relaoding. Very fine units, I always enjoy using mine. Sorry, nothing to trade to you for the ones you want to get rid of. You'll just have to break down and buy the shell plate conversion set most likely.

.243 is a necked down .308 case and .30-06 is essentially the .308 for cartridge diameter at the rim / head. Sounds like you have tripple redudancy on reloading .308 / .30-06 rounds.

I sold the .243 and 45LC conversions and got everything I need to load. Then needed to mount the damn thing but had nothing I could mount it to. Glass tables everywhere in the house. Almost mounted it on the counter in the kitchen when my old lady walked in and busted me putting a 1/4 " drillbit in my battery drill. Wanted to know just what the hell I was up to. Well I had to make other plans! I went to my storage unit and found a old table an took it apart and doubled it up. It will due for now. I set it up and am starting to load tonight. I will be using the following:
    Win brass
    fed primers
    231 powder
    rainier 115 gr rn/pl

I want to get rid of these 115gr bullets so I'm going to use them up first.
Shooting out of LW barrel with this plated stuff I'm not real sure where to start with powder loads I know max is like 5gr for FMJ in 3 of my books starting is around 3.8 . I was thinking about loading a few at 4gr and a few at 4.5 gr to see the direction I need to go.
Anyone have any time working with this powder bullet combo?
