    Rapid Transition (Canted) Iron Sights?

What do you think of these?

I've got a BUIS for my flat top AR... its a SWAN rear sight (fully adjustable) and a YHM front flip sight... when the sights are up, they are coincidental with the dot on my Aimpoint. So battery goes dead on the Aimpoint or an EMP takes it out, I'm still aiming through clear glass on the Aimpoint....

So I don't see much point in these unless you just like shooting "Gangsta Style"?

The ONLY use I can see is that if you were using a traditional scope... then you might not be able to even install a rear BUIS?

Yea, using it with a reflex sight you could otherwise cowitness with would be completly unnecessary. It's for folks using magnified optics which would require unmounting the scope to use a traditional BUIS (you can still use a lot of BUISs with these scopes they just can't be flipped up till the scope is gone) and want the ability to switch quickly between long range shots and CQB.

For 1.5ozs and a few hundred bucks more you'd be better off with an offset aimpoint micro.

I guess all those Century AKs were ahead of their time with those canted sights!

on the bright side, i would think the brass flags youd send flying straight up in the air above you are great to help the enemy loacte your exact position.

Troy flip up BUIS and a Tao1 acog on a ARMS 19 mount has worked well for me.

If I were going to buy an illuminated scope, I would get one with a visible reticle when not illuminated.
