    A Little Bayonet Action

I've done enough showing off of my rifles over the years, I thought I'd do something a little different and post up my small bayonet collection.

    First up, we have (l-r): Izmash marked AKM/AK 74 3rd Gen, ; Bulgarian Circle 10 AKM/AK 74 3rd gen ; Chinese 2nd gen AKM; and Izmash marked AKM/AK 74 2nd gen .

Next, I have an undetermined 1st gen AKM bayonet, bright orange BL, thinking Russian, may be wrong; Hungarian 1st gen AKM; Romanian 1st gen AKM; Yugoslavian 2nd gen AKM.

Romanian 1st gen AKM, x2 Polish 2nd gen AKM/AK 74; East German AK 47 bayonet.

And to throw off the curve, something totally out of left field:

    US M9.

So lets see 'em. How many different types and styles 'o' bayonets do y'all have?
How do you compromise with someone when their idea of compromise is to give them what THEY want?

Those are pretty nice. Here is my Garand PB001. I got it from CMP, unissued, in the original 1954 packaging.

Nope. That one is for milled receiver rifles. All the others, save the US M9 and the EG AK 47 will fit on just about any AK out there.

    Nice collection!

Just curious though... I never knew the AK bayonet notch on the end was for "wire cutting"... ever try it out? What gauge wire can it cut without damage to the scabbard or knife blade?

It works on standard chain link fence and reglar barb/razor wire.

Nice setup you go there Schuetz. I am wondering, though, which bayonet for a G1 FAL. I've got an original FH w/lug I'm going to install, and with all the reading I've done, I'm not sure which one will fit.

None of those fit the G1 FAL. No official G1 bayonet was ever made by the Germans. The Turks when they purchased the G1 rifles from the German's made up an Ersatz bayonet for them. I once received 2 of them with an order of M38 Turkish Mausers. I couldn't figure out WTF they were for as they didn't fit the Mausers even slightly. I called Century and they did an RMA with a credit. Years later I learned what they were. I wonder if Century still has them laying around up in VT in a warehouse?
