Question about light gray finish on NPM

I'm planning on buying the NPM in these pics but I have never seen a light gray finish like this before. Is there any thing anyone can tell me about it? Thanks for your help and expertise.

Could be the camera or the lighting ????

My USGI M1 carbine has a greyish color to it. For the life of me, I cannot remember who made it.
Here's to pussy and gunpowder. One to live for, the other to die by.....Goddamn though, I do love the smell of 'em both !!!

The pics are mine and actually darken the gray park a bit. It is lighter in person. I've asked this same question on other forums, seems RIA used light gray park when the they rework M1 carbines.

I have a Bavarian that is almost purple in some areas. From my reading it is because of the way it was heat treated. Could this be something similar?

I'm going to go ahead with the transaction. Ive asked around and it seems RIA used this color repark. Its one of the best condition carbines I have ever seen and it comes with the bayonet pictured below. The NPM carbine and bayonet look at least twice as nice as my Quality Hardware carbine and current bayonet.

That is a nice bayonet. I just got one with a plastic handle. In the picture yours looks to be leather, if it is, I think that is too cool.

its leather and it appears to be in unissued condition, as does the sacabbard. Here is a pic of it with my well used condition one.
