What is your weapon of choice?
I keep a Plainfield M-1 carbine at the side with a make-shift rack.

The 2nd Amendment : Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
A Glock 19 within arms length, and 4 feet away in the corner, my mossberg 590.
For the record, the Plainfield M1 Carbine is considered by many to be the best of post war production Carbines, due to their high content of original USGI parts. In fact, early ones were often 100% USGI. I'd buy one.

and my M870 12g

BEING THE MODERATOR OF THE ROADHOUSE IS LIKE BEING THE JANITOR OF A PEEP SHOW.
XD-9 on the night stand on my side and a S&W 442 Airweight with laser sights on my wife's side. Also, a Mossberg 590 with a pistol grip hanging off the bed rails on my side.

its number is Six hundred and sixty six."

I've never thought having a weapon in the open while I sleep was a good idea. In some cases a bad guy can sneak in and use it against you.
I always sleep with my weapon (gun, lol) to the right of me under the covers.
The other weapon sleeps in the living room between the front and back door.
Weapon #1
Weapon #2
I figure if it's good enough for humans in "Terminator", it's good enough for me.

Brutus was a prophet.
Just a .45 ACP, no bayonet.
Clock radio.
Although a .357 revolver isn't to far from there.
My PKM with a 100rd assault can, cause you just never know when the zombies rise up!
Back to reality! In Idaho I keep my DPMS M4 with an EOtech, wild animals are more of a concern than bad guys!
In Las Vegas, a Ruger P89, I don't want rounds flyin' 'round the neighborhood!
It's been proven that a 223 round is less likely to pass though a house than a 45 acp, or 12 Ga. w/ buckshot.
The 223 fragments into harmless pieces after passing through 2 sheet rock interior walls. Never exited the exterior wall.
The other 2 rounds exited the exterior wall. I'm sure a 9mm would fair the same.
