After today, it's all historical.
Poly Tech AKS-762 with "Galil" style side folder. While the style of folder can be traced to a Valmet, members of the Keng family told me that they first saw the stock on the Galil, which is why they called it what they did. The idea of using that folder was to try to see what would sell in the land of shall not be infringed. The standard 56S-2 style folder wasn't selling, so the different stock was tried.
Between the problem of trying to sell "that commie rifle" in the time frame after Vietnam, and then George Bush the First deciding that the looks of a firearm caused an honest person to become a baby killer, we will never know if the Galil version would outsell the 56s-2 version.
Great rifle!

Bush senior was a RINO weakling, but quit just blaming HIM. The Congress was controlled by DEMOCRATS. The MEDIA was hysterically pushing him to ban 'assault weapons' after the Stockton Schoolyard Shooting of 89. Bush the Elder was partially at fault because he CAVED to the pressure of the DEMOCRATS. But to BLAME him 100% and absolve the DEMOCRATS of blame is idiotic. They were on a warpath and harassed him endlessly to do what he did.
