There may soon come a day here in America when rich people's houses are targeted and looted and ransacked just like the Gadhafi families' were. Once the police (and military to back them up) become overwhelmed due to unrest, its open season on rich people, as their precious government that they so hate for taxing them so heavily isn't around to protect their ill-gotten gains from the oppressed masses any more. The only difference between here and Libya is that Libya only had one really rich family -- here we have tens of thousands of them.

That's why its always a good idea to live humbly and not make yourself a target. Definitely not smart to have a lot more stuff than your neighbors, especially if you flaunt it. Because WTSHTF, people will remember who has all the shit, while everyone else lived in relative squalor.

The rich people themselves will likely flee with at least their money at the first sign of serious trouble, just like Gadhafi is probably doing, negotiating a safe-haven with one of his allies in the Middle East. Too bad that rich scumbag will likely never be brought to justice.
