    Crawlspace remediation is costly.

I have had two different companies give estimates for my crawlspace work. They both want around 10k, but $6500 to $7000 of it is labor. I think my son and I can pull it off. We have to cover the ground and the sides of the foundation, as well as the pilons. Also, the mold has to be removed. Fortunately, there is no black mold. Also, we have to install a dehumidifier. The vents also have to be sealed. Wish me luck.

My neighbor's house is built on pylons, pretty unusual for Arizona. She doesn't have a mold/moisture issue. Her problem is the crawl space is a perfect scorpion breeding ground. I've shined my black light under her house and the green glow from all the scorpions is amazing, she spends a lot of money on exterminators.

If you do the work watch out for beasties.

Scorpions? Yikes. Btw those are some cute animals. We did have a bunch of black widows, but I bombed the place like it was Dresden.

There is a anti-mold spray called Wet and Forget.
You buy the jug as a concentrate and mix it into your sprayer. Soak everything and let dry.
