Do you really think that Northam, in his quest for power, will stop with gun owners? He is just getting started and, with Bloomnut pulling his strings, Northam will push it as far as possible. This will give Bloomnut a "test bed" to see what works so he can try this in other states.

As has been said, they don't want the constitution to be the law of the land, they want their personal desires to be the law of the land, my guess is those desires are closely aligned to marxism/satanism.
some good news;
Virginia Patriots Begin Petition To Recall Governor For Infringing On Second Amendment Rights
As Virginia Governor Ralph Northam simply has not learned how patriots deal with tyrants in America, another angle has arisen in which a growing petition has gained more than 65,000 signatures, at the time of this writing, to recall Northam for “infringing on 2nd amendment rights.”
The petition, whose goal is a mere 75,000, was started by Josh Bratton.
According to the petition, “We the people of The Commonwealth of Virginia feel Governor Ralph Northam should be recalled from office. Governor Northam has presented a state wide gun ban that would disarm law abiding citizens, infringing on constitutional rights granted by the U.S Constitution 2nd Amendment as well as Virginia Constitution Article 1 section 13. This kind of proposition is unconstitutional and should not be allowed.”

These recalls are stupid. If we don't like what a governor or other elected official is doing then we need to vote them out during a regular election. If we were serious they would not have gotten elected in the first place. To come in after the fact is wrong and smacks of what the Democrats are trying to do to President Trump.

After Pro-Second Amendment Rally, Virginia Democrats Kill Pro-Gun Legislation and Advance Red Flag Gun Confiscation
A day after the pro-gun rally in Richmond, Virginia, Democrats are quickly moving their anti-gun agenda forward.
First, they started off by killing pro-gun legislation.
Some of these bills included proposals to make it easier to carry guns in places of worship, bring Constitutional Carry to Virginia, limit gun-free zones, and strengthen mandatory sentences for crimes involving guns.

Florida’s GOP-Led Senate Passes Gun Control for Gun Show Sales
The Senate President is Bill Galvano (R-Bradenton). On January 17, Breitbart News reported that Galvano received two donations from the Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety. One of the donations was in the amount of $200,000 and the other in the amount of $300.000.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that Galvano would not apologize for taking money from the gun control groups. Rather, he said he was “grateful for the support.”
The Florida Senate has now passed a new gun control requirement, part of an effort they describe as closing the so-called gun show loophole.
WFLA reports that the new requirement means that individuals selling personal firearms at gun shows must check the ID of the person buying the gun “and a form would need to be filled out and notarized in front of a witness.”

No, they are not and for the very reason Ali states below. It is also a way to work within the system and not outside it.
EXACTLY !!
Not necessarily. If that is the procedure, after seeing his "leader" deposed, said Lt. Gov. will likely be less troublesome for fear of the same thing happening to him.

Virginia Dems seeking law to make criticism of govt officials a criminal offense
Boy those VA Dems don’t know when to stop digging that hole! Now they want a law protecting state government officials from citizen “threats and harassment”. How subjective is that?.
House Bill 1627 “provides that certain crimes relating to threats and harassment may be prosecuted in the City of Richmond if the victim is the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.”

Here they're openly going for the 1st amendment, you know, since they already edited the 2nd amendment to their liking.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I guess if you are going to violate one law, violating more than one isn't a problem, especially if you call yourself a democrat government worker.
VA House Committee Passes Firearm Storage Law, Handgun Purchase Limit
The House of Delegates’ Public Safety Committee on Friday passed a firearm store law and a bill limiting the number of handguns Virginians can purchase, among other gun controls.
WHSV reports the gun controls, “almost all… passed on a 13-9 party line vote,” with the Democrats voting for them and Republicans against.
Universal background checks were among the controls passed. Such checks criminalize a neighbor who sells a five-shot revolver to a lifelong neighbor without first getting government permission via a background check. While making criminals out of the law-abiding, they do nothing to stop gang members and street criminals from selling stolen guns to one another in dark alleys, drug houses, and parking lots.
Del. Mark Levine (D-45th Dist.) boasted the committee also passed a bill allowing local municipalities to enact gun bans for certain areas whether the state legislature enacts such bans or not. The bill particularly allows local municipalities to ban concealed carry in parks and public buildings. In other words, the bill, should it pass, would allow local municipalities to ban carry by those have gone through the legal process of acquiring a license to carry for self-defense.

If you don't have a state pre emption clause, than ANY idiot libtard city council can ban guns. California has this problem, but thankfully (if you can call it that being that it's California) has a state pre emption clause, so individual cities cannot ban guns unless the entire state does. That has kept a lot of cities from banning possession outright.
Gun Rationing, Other Controls Ready for Passage by VA Democrats
The gun rationing bill is HB 812, which prohibits law-abiding citizens from buying more than one handgun a month.
HB 1803 puts parents in a precarious position by making them criminally liable if their 15-17-year-old son or daughter accesses the gun they use for home defense. HB 1803 is moving through legislative channels with HB 72, the latter of which actually drops the age to 14 years, meaning a Class 6 felony is “the penalty for recklessly leaving a loaded, unsecured firearm in such a manner as to endanger the life or limb of any person under the age of 14.”
Such legislation, should it become law, will effectively mean parents of children 14-17 years of age run the risk of felony charges if they keep a gun accessible for home defense. The NRA-ILA reports the legislation “severely restricts parental decisions about firearms in the home while attaching excessive penalties for violations.”
HB 9 is among the other gun controls being considered. It penalizes gun owners who fail to report their guns stolen within 24 hours of the theft occurring. The NRA-ILA notes that this punishes firearm owners instead of the criminals who steal firearms, “[victimizing] gun owners who suffer loss or theft of their property with a fine.”

North Carolina Counties Declare 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Status
The Second Amendment Sanctuary movement is picking up steam again as counties in North Carolina declare they have no intention of enforcing new controls that infringe on gun rights.
On January 29, 2020, WFAE reported Cabarrus, Cleveland, Catawba, Lincoln and Union counties had all declared Second Amendment Sanctuary status. And the Gaston Gazette reports Gaston County added its name to the list of Second Amendment Sanctuaries this week.
The StatePortPilot.com reports Brunswick County is set to make a similar declaration, with the all-Repu

Nearly 200 people have had their guns seized in N.J. under new ‘red flag’ law
Nearly 200 people in New Jersey have had their guns seized under a “red flag” law that went effect last year, according to data obtained by NJ Advance Media.
The Extreme Risk Protective Order Act, which went into effect Sept. 1, allows a law enforcement officer, family or household member to submit a petition to state Superior Court showing why a judge should issue an order to keep guns away from someone who potentially poses a danger of causing bodily injury to themselves or to others.
If the judge determines there is “good cause” to remove the guns, the judge will initially issue a temporary extreme risk protection order and a search warrant is executed to recover the guns, ammunition and firearms identification card from the person.

this "law" is only 4 months old

Somewhere I heard that only about 25 "requests" were turned down. The writer theorized that it appears these judges are skipping "due process" and going with "better safe than sorry" instead.
Doesn't that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that they are looking out for you like that??
