    BUILDING THE B-24 BOMBER

"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

Our local airport was originally built to train B-24 crews and later B-29s. After the war the city took it over for commercial flights.

Always kinda the ugly-duckling of Americas WWII bombers but the B24 was still one of the great planes.
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???
