LOL. I'm by the ocean. But by Sunday it will be 98 DEGREES. guess what? CALIFORNIA commucrat Governor and Nancy Pelosi's Son in Law, GAVIN NEWSOM, just closed down all the beaches, so we can get arrested for going to the water during this heat wave. Gotta love Democrat run states!

Finally broke the heatwave around here.

We are helping you out, or so the media would most likely portray it, by being a few degrees below normal.

It's a balmy, low humidity 82 degrees or so here in NE Illinois. Just saw on the tv news the all time record for this date was set back in 1898. Apparently they had global warming even back then....

I'm hoping the snow doesn't stick at my house. That will be a mostly foothills event. Still, it's gonna get cold on tues & wed.

    Hopefully the garden will survive.

And the St. Louis area is due to drop on late Wednesday or Thursday. No snow but from 90 today to 70 on Thursday with the Wed.-Thur. night low of 49-50. Big change for us and a warning of what's coming.
One of the local TV stations had their "fall outlook" a couple of weeks ago and they were saying that this a weak "La Nina" year. We may get our first frost before Halloween and maybe even the first measurable snow before the election.
It's going to be an interesting fall season in more ways than we can count.

We've been having pretty dry summers but wet rainy late fall/winter conditions. The reservoir water level 35 miles north of me was at 1700 ft. elevation (105% full) in March and now it's 1642 ft ( 50 % full) . This really sucks for fishing and boating but at least our water supply is some what stable.

Didn't happen. The front stalled diagonally across MO and, while the St. Louis area was in the mid-80s, at the same time KC was 54.
