    Anybody on here play Silent Hunter4 sub simulation?

    Just wondering because there are a couple really good mods that might peak your interest again in playing it again. The mods are at www.subsims.com I got into a Japanese task force west of Rabaul after evading 7 destroyers when one pounced on me and brought the others over. Reeked havoc! 2 Heavy cruisers, 2 Seaplane tenders, escort carrier and light cruiser. Been playing this game since it came out many years ago. The mods Fall of the rising sun and IJN really updated the game. destroyers after me

    I played Silent Hunter II ~2001. I found that the part I enjoyed the most was sailing on the surface, getting attacked by aircraft and manning the AA guns on the U-Boat. Until the boat got sunk by aircraft, which it eventually will!

    You should try SH4, been playing it off and on since it came out. Quite advanced away from then. My go to sub sim. The best. The mods on subsim make it even better. If you have Steam, it's worth the price, and make sure it's the 1.5 version.

    Can I man the quad 20mm on a Type VIIC U-Flak boat sailing in the Bay of Biscay on the surface?

    No SH4 is only the Pacific, you can get sunk there doing that too Silent hunter 4 wolves of the pacific, is German Uboats, regular SH4 is American. I currently play mods IJN(Imperial Japanese Navy subs) and Fall of the Rising sun , American subs.

    meanwhile other gamers are playing this;

    you guys that shoot unguided torps are on a level way beyond me, also this guys entire channel is awesome if youre into naval warfare as he was a sonar man
    "And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

    I have Cold waters too, I'll have to try out that mod, but it's way more of a top down game than SH4. You can choose how realistic your settings are on SH4. I don't manually compute the bow angle speed ect, The TDC is pretty much automatic on the settings I play. You give me too much credit

    you might have the tdc doing some of the work but ive seen so many misses, so many weapons wasted in those games theres no way id leave the comfort of the mk48 even if it takes 15 minutes of chasing a soviet sub to kill it

    Slacker That's why I play it, it's as close to the real thing WWII sub sim we'll probably ever see.
