WTH is going on at the NRA?

Has a trojan horse gotten through the gates or simply malfeasance? https://www.westernjournal.com/natio...m1dtpyKgkZtvxw

I believe it is that LaPierre is totally out of control, not taking the NRA the way it should be going, and has built up so much power that no one can stop him.

Sounds like our federal government just a lot.

Why be surprised to find they're compromised when they refused to support Heller?
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

Not only that but their dogged determination to press for CC with not a word about OC. Their apparent unwillingness to oppose the bumpstock ban and so little said about suppressors is another "bone of contention" I have with them.

Apparently now they're backing Trump on his push for "red flag" precrime laws.

SAD: President Trump Calls For Red Flag Gun Confiscation Laws
After the El Paso and Dayton massacres this past weekend, President Trump is now calling for so-called “red flag” laws to take guns from people who’re allegedly pose a public risk to others.

Right. Time to start asking any dem or rep what constitutional rights they next want to infringe or abolish.

We don't need to ask, the list is right there at the end of the Constitution.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Well, some might want to abolish freedom of the press and so on, while others might want to abolish the vaguely worded pursuit of happiness instead. I suppose they gather in a soviet (Russian for council or committee) and decide who will attack what constitutionally enumerated right.
